Solved Windows 7 update now wont boot

November 10, 2011 at 06:21:33
Specs: Windows 7
As the title says, it wont boot after updates were in the process and laptop battery died. Now when I turn it on it will not let me go in safemode nor boot manger. It will just go to a black screen with a dash on the top left of the screen. Anything would help,
Thanks,
Mike

do you have a windows 7 disk? if so boot into recovery mode and do a system restore

If builders built buildings like programmers wrote programs, then the first woodpecker that came along would destroy civilization.

Why do people try to run critical processes on battery power?

✔ Best Answer
You can run a system restore from a Windows 7 Repair Disk that you should have already made (CDr) when the machine was new. You can make one now from any W7 machine of the same type (32bit or 64bit) and use that. Next time, plug it in before running anything so important and if one starts itself, plug it in ASAP, especially if the battery is not at 100%, and even if it is if at all possible.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
