Specs: Windows Vista
Upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 - did not set a password. Now cannot get passed the screen asking for a password. All the fixes I found want to begin at the START prompt. Cannot get there. I am stuck on the first screen asking for a password. Never set one in Vista. Don't have any passwords to give it. HELP!

If it says "Administrator" on the prompt screen, try just hitting enter.

X86 thanks for your help but nothing in the link applies. I can not get to the registry or any screen. The only screen I have access to is the Password screen. No start button nothing. Odd since I have been using the computer with the Windows 7 upgrade for 2 weeks and it never asked for a password before. Tried orphcrack but nothing happened either screen with "enter password" just stayed up. Any help would be welcome. Thanks.

Seawatch1 I did get to the admin through Safe mode but again it asked for an admin password. Of course I don;t have one so it took me right back to the enter password screen.
