Windows 7 starter restore to first run

June 8, 2011 at 09:54:40
Specs: Windows Vista
Hi everyone,

I really need your help... Being the blondie I am, I bought a netbook today, the assistant said it had a 6cell battery, of course it has 3 cells... I wanted to take it back to the shop as the battery life is poor, and buy a different type, however they said its impossible, if I already installed windows 7 - have my name, password, language. Is there any way to restore the factory settings? So if one opens it, it will do the first run - ask them to type their name, choose language and so? Please help :(

Thank you in advance x

you can do a factory restore, deopends on the model, but usually you tap a f key at boot to get inro factory restore, or
delete your account, start, /control panel/accounts delete account.
or you can delete the whole of the C: drive by using a linux boot disk.

however, by law you entitled to return any item within a period of time if it does not live upto your expectations or if it misrepresented as in 6 cells and and its only 3, ask to speak with the manager.
