Specs: Windows 7
The spinning wheel telling me my PC, Windows 7 needs time has become an hourglass like in my previous PC. I haven't seen the hourglass for years and it just seems really odd.

So, what did you install just before that happened? A desktop theme?

Or is the hourglass just in one particular program? Any program can
change the mouse pointers for use within that program. Even a web
page can do it for use within that page.

Hi Jeff, thanks for replying. I didn't install anything, though I've been mucking around trying to get 2 web pages side by side to read lessons and also have the questions open at the same time. I found by opening IE twice separately I could do that. The hourglass is in all programs.
I just read and followed "masterofnocrack's" advice and the hourglass has gone. As you'd be able to tell I'm not very knowledgeable on computers, even though I'm learning all the time. Thanks very much.

Since you implied that you'd been using Windows 7 for years,
and other Windows operating systems before that, I guess
I assumed that you would already know where to change the
mouse pointers, so didn't think to mention it.

In previous versions of Windows I changed the hourglass color
by editing the image and saving it with an icon editng program,
then selecting the altered version in the mouse control panel.
