windows 7 slideshow image orientation

Specs: Windows 7
On my slide show, the pictures that I take vertically (with camera) come up sideways and I cannot get that to straighten up, they have been set right in the picture albums, any help I would apprecaite it.

If you turn your camera when you take the shot, as in a portrait position, the computer will correctly show you a sideways view. You will have to edit them / crop them, in a landscape view to make them look normal.

I see people turning their cameras all the time making shots and wonder if they realize what is going to happen. The only reason you would turn your camera is to make that photo into a portrait print. For viewing normal photos on a computer, keep your shots straight - landscape. If you want a portrait print you can crop the landscape into a portrait, or your printer software will do it.

The computer is showing you the correct (as shot) jpeg, etc.
