Windows 7 Side By Side Drag & Drop

Specs: Win7, Athlon 6400+ / 4gb Ram
I use dual monitors on Windows 7 Ultimate, and often need to compare two videos or photos so I use that "show windows side by side" feature a lot. But what I'm wondering, is I love how I can drag a window to the top right corner of my right screen and it will make the window exactly half the size of that screen. But if I try on the top left corner of the right screen technically it's not the edge of the desktop since there is another monitor to the left of it so I don't get that snap to option I have to manually make the window the same size. Are there any settings for this??

i believe you have your screen set to extend, try duplicate, and show desktop on screen 1, you can try with win 7 desktop settings or with nvidia/ati settings

but cant help myself....

Now why in the world would I want my monitors mirrored (duplicate)? The whole point of extended desktop is for a larger working space. I don't have any ATI settings I use Windows drivers without the additional ATI crap. I don't know what to do here....

well the only choice you have, is duplicate, extend, computer only and projector inwin 7 settings, so you will just have to live with it, or try the crap from ati.

the win 7 screen features mean that on a extended monitor both work as 1 so you can drag a window onto the second monitor at the left it will snap.
what your asking cannot be done in extended mode.
what can i say maybe there are third party apps, or ati apps...google-ing seems to be your only option

I've tried, I can't find anything. I use UltraMon right now but it does not offer that feature. If I have 4 windows open and I right click the taskbar and choose "show windows side by side" it will display them exactly how I want but I have to have 4 windows open.
