Solved Windows 7 shuts down my PC...not tempurature or PSU related

Specs: Windows 7, e4400 intel/2gb
Windows 7 shuts down PC UNLESS an active task is going on. This is not temperature or Power Supply related. It is more of an auto-shutdown after a set period of time UNLESS some active task is going on. Is there a way to set Windows 7 to not shut the PC down??

Thanks much,
Serob48

✔ Best Answer
Are you sure it is shutting down? It may just be putting it to sleep state.
Yes you can disable shut down, sleep, hard drive power down, monitor power save, etc.
Control Panel> Power Options.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

[SOLVED] Thanks to Fingers. I just got back to this post after a couple of days. I have loaded all my little applications and data files back to my PC's HD. Windows 7 has stopped going into sleep mode -- and it was a sort of sleep mode. So, problem is solved by whatever means it has spontaneously occured.

Thanks much,
