Solved Windows 7/ Removable Disk(E:)

July 5, 2011 at 01:55:51
Specs: Windows 7
I have an LG 800G smartphone, its manual says to connect computer and phone with usb cable. After phone prompt says "Connected", on my computer go to "My Computer", but on my computer it only says "Computer", so I click on that. Then, I'm suppose to click on "removable disk (E:)", but the problem is I can't locate "removable disk(E:)".....So, with windows 7, where can I locate "removable disk(E:)" on my computer?

When you look in "Computer" what drives do you see? Does it show any removable disks?

Where did you get the idea the phone card was to be labeled as removable disk E?

Do you know what the phone card capacity is?

Go to Control Panel> Manage> Storage> disk management. Do you see the card listed there?

Is the phone showing in Device Manager? Verify you are connected to a working USB port and that you have the phone set in the correct mode (on?).

Some phones connect in one of two ways. One is it acts like a removable drive while the other is like a mp3 player. I forget what they call that. Some kind of mode.

What drive letter is assigned? E? That is the removable disk.

If you have never used the SD card you need to partition and format it. Read the phone instructions to know what format to use.
