so, i have my little sticker on the side of my computer with my CD-KEY, but i managed to lose my installation disc for windows 7 home premium. if i were to get a copy of a windows or download one from online somewhere, would that do the job just as good as having the original?
Only if installation DVD version exactly matched version on case sticker. Case sticker is probably Windows 7 Home Premium Full Version or even a customised OEM version which is not as easy to borrow a copy of as the upgrade version.
You're safest bet is to contact the computer manufacturer and request an operating system CD tailored to your PC. This will include most of the hardware drivers that you need... if you download something online you run the risk of 1. malware 2. installing an OS and having to search for your drivers after install
what brand of machine do you have, most systems come with a hidden partition with which you press an F key and activate the factory restore ahvea look here http://www-tus.csx.cam.ac.uk/window... or go to the manufacturers website. i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
need help with print spooler service on my windows 7
