Windows 7 ping timed out

Microsoft Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit
September 20, 2011 at 13:08:15
Specs: Windows 7, P4
I'm using Windows 7. When I ping my computer I get the following response:
Reply from ::1: time<1ms
etc...

when I ping that same computer from my latop, I get the typical reply of the IP address. IP V6 is turned off on the network adapter. Why do I still get the: Reply from ::1: time<1ms
response when I ping the host name of the local host I am on?

I assume, you use ping like this:
ping your_computers_hostname

Check the following file:
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Search for the entry

::1     localhost

Make sure, that there is not listed the computers name in the same line.

You are expecting our help, we are expecting your response !!!
