Specs: Windows 7
I noticed some changes to my computer recently and in an attempt to correct them I wanted to restore my computer to an earlier state. When I tried to do so i recieved no restore points create message. At that point I manually create one and that on disappeared also as i checked the next day. This was not occuring in the past. Can someone please help me with this.

How much space is remaining on your OS partition? What is the total OS partition size?

Look at the partition with Windows 7 on it in Computer. The used and free space show there. If there is not sufficient space, Windows 7 can't create restore points. The option also must be enabled too.

66% on the one 100% on the other 2 seems like enough space and the problem was not occuring in the past. I did not disable anything.

How much space are you devoting to the restore points? The default is 12% of available space. Yours may be set for far less.

"System Restore uses restore points to return your system files and settings to an earlier point in time without affecting personal files. Restore points are created automatically every week, and just before significant system events, such as the installation of a program or device driver. You can also create a restore point manually".

Look at the Google search links below.

Do you have restore enabled for removable drives?
