windows 7 mouse triple clicking problem

Specs: Windows 7
After installing windows 7 - I have to tripple click on an icon - instead of a double click. I am required to use the 1st click to identify the icon and a further two clicks to launch the application

After an upgrade (from what?) you need to install your drivers again for your hardware. If you have not done this yet, do it. Normally, the most important is your motherboard and graphics card drivers, but depending on your mouse, you may need that too (might as well do your DVD, etc.),
Note also: check your double click speed, you may need to slow it down to register reliably for you (Start>Control Panel>Hardware>Mouse....).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
