Windows 7 freeze waking from sleep

Microsoft Outlook 2007
October 25, 2009 at 07:57:15
Specs: Windows Vista

i installed windows 7 on my computer.
after 20 min the screen goes to sleep. when i wake him up, i c my desktop but the computer is hanging (stuck). i need to wait several minute before it's being release and i can use it again. sometimes it does not and i need to make a strong restart.
i went over the power management configuration and turned off all sleeping setting (HD, network card, CPU etc'). but this did not help.

any idea. i would like to know if this can happen from hardware malfunction.

thanks for your help

Is this computer desktop or laptop? If the former, disable all sleep options.

Same thing happened to me... I turned off all sleep options and the problem is solved. I'm not sure that it is W7 that is causing it though!

hi all...

thanks for your replays.

@Ricky_Tech1984: w8ing 5-10 min sometimes solve the problem some time i just press the shutdown button and go to work, after i come back the computer was turned off.

i solved the problem. (sorry for not posting this earlier)
the problem was that i enabled the "auto hide the taskbar"

when disable this option all work OK
i dont know y its happening, i always configure it this way and i never had any problems, i work with win 7 on several computers and specifically my home computer is giving me this hard time, all othe computers i work on (with win 7) working great with this option enabled.

any 1 know how to solv this?
if not... so forget it, its not that a big of a problem.

thanks again
