Specs: Windows 7, quad core 2.4 ghz
when I used to have windows vista 32 bit home premium , i could see any downloaded Real Player FLV files that i store on my computer ( from youtube , etc) as thumbnails when i viewed a folder containing the files in windows explorer. the file would be displayed as thumbnails( in large icon view) and would appear as a screenshot-type icon of the video . Now that i have windows 7 64 bit home premium, it wont show me that, it just shows a standard thumbnail .
i tried to look online for fixes, including klite codec pack and registry files(.reg) but no avail.

does anyone know i can get this to work?

Yes there seems to be some sort of bug...I get the same problem on my Acer x64. Even if I re-register the thumbs/icons...it sometimes goes right back. I had this problem with Microsoft Security Essentials, the only solution was to do daily updates...else uninstall and re-install. I think the program UNIBLUE will mess up some things...I never trusted Uniblue so I use Ccleaner

Apparently there IS a workaround for this so-called bug HERE. Before you do anything, scroll down THIS page and read the answer to the question Why am I not getting thumbnails for .mkv and .flv files on Windows 7.
