Windows 7 display doesn't fit laptop screen

Dell Inspiron 1545 notebook

Specs: Windows 7
I accidentally hit some buttons on my keyboard and now my screen has black bars on either side. I have tried going to the display panel and adjusting the resolution, but it says my screen is incapable of having 1366 x 768 screen, yet this is what I believe I had before. My laptop is the Dell Inspiron 1545 with Windows 7 and it is currently set to 1280 x 768. Is there some way to reset these settings so it fits the monitor? As for monitor buttons, none of them appear to be related to the screen position or resolution. Please help!

Not sure what keystrokes you could have hit to do that. However, if you can't set the display to 1366 x 768, which IS your native resolution, then I suggest you re-install the graphics drivers. Go to the link below and enter the service tag number from the underside of the laptop to get the correct drivers.

Try pressing the fn key and the f4. There is then a visual choice that will stretch the desktop again.
