Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit OS , 2.8Ghz/1GB Ram
plz help!!! am using Windows 7 Ultimate Version 6.1.7600 Build 7600 and Microsoft Security Essentials but unfortunately am having problem constantly after 1 day installation of my PC. On the right lower corner of the window, it says "Windows did not pass genuine validation. Microsoft Security Essentials will become disabled in 13 days if you do not resolve this issue. To continue using Microsoft Security Essentials, click 'Go online and resolve now' and get genuine Windows" and the response code is "0xC004F200" as today is already October 14, so merely 12 days left.

So, where did you get your copy of Windows 7 Ultimate? Is it installed on another computer too?

Today win updates installed "Microsoft Security Essentials Client Update Package - BB2267610" and immediately after the reboot the I got the warning message " Windows did not pass genuine validation. Microsoft security essentials will become disabled in 30 days if you do not resolve this issue.

From Googling for information I found that some users are reporting the update mentioned above may be buggy.

Try installing that update or performing a system restore to a time prior to the installation of that update.

The update will start with KB, not BB. KB2267610

Considering you just bought it, phone up microsoft, send them your proof of purchase.

They should be able to assist you.

Can I put a question here?

I have no clue whether a copy of my Windows is installed in another PC or not..I bought my PC from an authorized distributor shop and installed it by a technician from that itself..By da way..I am able to retrieve my Windows Product Key by using WinGuggle online software but when I entered into the Product entry and directed to Microsoft Windows Validation website and did it as per instruction but nothing worked out at all..!!

Note to ALL:
If you legitimately purchased a computer with windows 7 on it new, or you legitimately purchased an unopened boxed copy of windows 7, or legitimately purchased a new unopened OEM copy for a new build then GO BACK to where you purchased it and they have to fix things or contact MS with your proof of purchase and they will help you fix things.
If you purchased on Ebay, downloaded from a torrent site, purchased an open box, purchased it on a street corner, purchased a 'key' online, 'borrowed' a copy form a school or work, you are out of luck. You need to purchase it like everyone else from a legitimate source.
DO NOT BOTHER TO ASK THIS SAME QUESTION AGAIN HERE PLEASE!!!

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Kim kim

You issue may simply be that you need to activate the copy of Windows 7 on your computer. Download and use the free version of SIW from the link below to retrieve your Windows 7 key. Don't trust any online site.

http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download...

edit, didn't notice how old this thread is.
