Windows 7 Dell PC stuck in Save or Safe mode

Specs: Windows 7
My dell computer is on save mode or 'safe mode'and will not let me do anything. I have did it all F8,pressed 1, ctrl alt delete. I have tried to restarting the computer and thing is working. When it restats the the only thing it does is that the fan runs reel fast. Can some one please help me out.

On booting to F8 it ought to offer an option to repair. Try it. If not then boot to dvd and use W7's repair.

try reseating the memory, they will be behind a small panal on the base of a laptop, unscrew and reseat memopry, if this is a desktop, reseat the memory, check all cables, check for dust and clean,

do you see the post, old fashioned white type at boot up?
do you get any beeps?
what type of machine is it?
how old?

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

Have you tried a 'hard' restart (holding down the power button until the system shuts off and then restarting)? It might be obvious to many, but not to all. If you are only trying to use the usual start/shut down, the above might help.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
