Windows 7 Cut and paste function not working

Specs: Windows 7
Cut and paste NOT working in Win 7...I am very frustrated with this!

Tell us how you are going about this. Normally you highlight the text that you wish to copy then right click it and select Copy or Ctrl C. Having done that open your new document, click it to place the cursor, right click and select Paste or Ctrl V

Make sure that when you right click and select copy, the cursor is within the highlighted area. If it is outside, which is where it normally ends up, it wont know what to copy.
