Specs: Windows 7
Ok well I have an Acer laptop with Windows 7. It recently crashed the other day, now when it is turned on it shows the Acer loading screen with the F2 option to enter setup. If nothing is pressed then it goes to a black screen with a single blinking cursor in the top left. I tried F8, Ctrl+F10, and nothing seems to be working. Please help.

Nothing, after it leaves the Acer screen with the F2 option it goes straight to an all black screen with a single blinking cursor in the upper left.

By "crashed," do you mean into the floor?

I only ask because it sounds like you lost your HDD.

Acer offers a recovery partition (accessed by pressing Alt +F10 at Startup)
you will lose your files on the C: drive, but your machine will be back to the day you bought it.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
