Solved Windows 7 control panel window does not display any icons

Specs: Windows 7
When I open control Panel there are no icons displayed and i cannot add/remove programs because the icon is not there to click on

Weird....try a reboot and see if that does anything.

If it doesn't, go to safe mode and see if you can see your icons there.

I would bet you anything you will - and if that's the case, try a system restore to a time before this started happening. If that's not available or doesn't work, the only option available to you is to backup your stuff and reinstall Windows, as it means that there are some system files missing from Windows.

System Restore would probably be the best first option tho, as given - it usually goes well and does not remove your own files.
