Specs: Windows 7
I just got a new pc with Windows 7. It will not let me set a password for the Administrator Acct. How can I fix this?

Look in Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Computer Management> Local users and groups> Users> Administrator> General.

Check which boxes are ticked.

There is no "Local Users & Groups" at Computer Management. i've looked for something like it, but named different, but I can't find anything. Any other suggestions?

Windows 7 has built-in Administrator Account that is disabled by default. You need to first enable it then rename the Adm account as you see fit. Go HERE to follow the tutorial.

I fixed it. I just deleted that account and created a new one. Thanks for your suggestions tho. If I have this problem in the future I will know what to do.

I don't think you can delete the default administrator account.

I created a new administrator account first, then deleted the original. It worked and everything works just fine.

Windows 7 let me make and use an admin users just like xp.

So I made standard users. May be the version?
