Hi

The Gatway Window 7 laptop was short circuit on its power line last night. My nephew was turned it off

Today, when turning it on, the laptop showed Window Error Recovery with options Start Window Normally and Safe Mode. Using both these options, the Window was unable to boot and turned to the black screen.

Gatway did not provide any recovery disk or CD.

How do I fix this? Thank you for your suggestions.

Best Regards,

At this point, your best bet is probably to contact Gateway and have them send you a Windows installation disc. When you get one, try running startup repair off of it, and see if you can recover your system. If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to just reinstall Windows.

Check the gateway manual for your laptop and see if it has a recovery partition.

Gatway did not provide a recovery partiton. Does Gatway have a website to get Windows installation disc instead of calling them to send the disc? Thanks,
