Changing the Timeout value to 'zero' doesn't make sense when you've got a dual-boot setup as it means you will not get the chance to choose which OS to start.

Load Windows XP
Click Start > Run
Type msconfig

Click the Boot tab.
Change settings back to what they were.
Click 'OK'

Restart.

Toggle F8 during boot & see if you get an option to choose what operating system.

If you get the Safe mode etc screen you have missed the screen, reboot & try again.
