I am installing Win7 on Acer Aspire 1410 using USB. I've used this USB several times and just recently so i'm sure that the problem is not on my USB stick. But this time It just hangs and got stuck on Setup is starting. I tried it several times just to check if it will pass on that setup is starting screen, i also leave it overnight with that Setup is starting but to no avail.
I also check on the internet for possible solutions. Some says to Disable FDD in BIOS, but there's no FDD options in the BIOS. I also remove 1GB memory stick but nothing happens.
I also tried to install Win7 by patiently waiting to load windows normally and sticking up my USB but it just also hangs on the copying temporary files and no luck.Additional info.
I tried to reformat this laptop since it boots way too long (waiting 10mins before it loads windows content) and when one of its partition becomes unselectable that whenever i try to click it to show its contents it does nothing.
Thanks in advance
Have you run diagnostics on Hard Drive ? Have you run diagnostics on Memory ?
Re-installing to solve issues is not troubleshooting the issues........
ARM Devices the future. Windows have accepted the fact!
I am trying to run Diagnostic in Harddrive, but can't get through. It just also hangs when i right click on the drive that i wanna check.
Is there any other way to repair that drive? because usually your drive shows how much more space do you have. but in my case the particular drive won't show the available space.
And when i try to right click on it, the dialogue box shows not responding.
Thanks for the suggestion Jolicloud. Anyway what i did is i downloaded the HDD Regenerator and it fix the problem. I was able to open all the partitions But after 3 days of using the laptop it just stop and wont open.
