Solved Win7 Unable to play Vegetarian delights DVD for Win 95

Specs: Windows 7
I have a vegetarian delights DVD that is supported by Windows 95 OS. I now have Windows 7
and it will not play. Unfortunately their are no upgrades for the DVD. The DVD only shows a list of what is on it suach as the titles but do not open for the recipes. Please help.

Something to try. Right click on one of the recipes and choose to copy it. Then paste it to the desktop. Now try to open it.

Do you have a home DVD player? If so, try it in there. Do the same if you know someone with a Linux or Unix box.

Your disk should be a CD if you used it back in the Win95 days.

The issue is that those disks were treated as programs and installed to the hard drive. Back in Win95 days programs installed to the root directory. Now Windows runs in a more protected mode so programs are installed under program files.

Because of the installer file you may need to install it under Win95. Do you have a Win95 disk and key?

After trying an old CD from the Win95 era I find that it may be possible to read files from disks of that era.

Windows 7 put meat in them & they are no longer vegetarian.

When I try to open any of the recipes, nothing happens. Nada...the play button just does not work.

Was that DVD created before regions were implemented? America is region 1 iirc.
