Win7 sees network, not internet

I recently had to reinstall Win 7 Ultimate after the Beta expired, and now my computer thinks it doesn't have internet access. It can see other computers on the network and connect to my TiVo, but the network icon in the system tray has the yellow triangle, and a popup off it says "no internet." It worked correctly before; what can I do to correct this? My ISP suggested turning off IPv6, but that didn't help. I have been able to get it by disabling then enabling the adapter through Device Manager, but when I reboot the problem is back.

try to disconnect from the network and then reconnect, Click on the network icon in the taskbar, click on your network, disconnect and then connect...
try pulling the power from the modem/access point, wait 30 secs and power up again...
you may need to update drivers for your network card,

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

Yes, my Win7 is activated--did that at some point when I'd reset the adapter and temporarily had 'net access.

I have reset the modem a couple of times. Haven't tried the router, tho. I'll give that a try.

Thanks.
