Win7 PC takes long time to log in any sites

Microsoft Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit

Specs: Windows 7
I ran AVG, spybot and ccleaner on my new laptop (I used them on my old laptop under advice and there were no problems) but since then I have been able to use the internet but not been able to actually log in to any sites. I am told immediately that it is taking too long to connect to the site. Am not a computer expert so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing I would do would be to clean out your browser's history, stored web pages, stored passwords, etc.
In internet explorer: Tools>Internet Options>delete and select at least most items to clean out and click ok.
In Mozilla Firefox: Tools>Clear Recent History and preferrably select "everything".

Next check security settings to be sure they were not inadvertently set too high.
In IE: Tools> Internet options and select the security tab and you should be at a level of medium by default -- Check other settings such as cookies (I allow them but delete when browser is closed) and web pages (I like to always load new, it may be slower, but is always cleaner) and I like to only keep histories until the browser is closed
In Firefox: Tools>Options
[If you read every option here, you may find something set to an extreme that will hurt your browsing, your security, or just be too annoying]
And don't overlook the importance of restarting your laptop (always using standby will keep memory errors where restarting will require a clean reloading and will prevent error build-up.
Post back your results.
