Win7 not detecting DVD ROM drive

Toshiba / Satellite 455
February 13, 2012 at 09:24:07
Specs: Windows 7, Celeron
I just wiped the HDD with Darik's Boot and Nuke 2.6.6 beta; short wipe this time, then reinstalled win7 with recovery DVD

installed a few programs etc. then tried to burn a new version of the old DBAN 2.0 alpha to DVD

problem; the DVD ROM is no longer showing up and can no longer be detected

i removed everything but essentials and still DVD ROM is not detected

Windows 7 Home Premium is installed on a Toshiba Satellite 455 Laptop with a celeron uP

You may need to install the motherboard chip set drivers. Click on the link below and select your exact model. Then download all drivers and files for you model. I suggest you save them to disk as well as installing them.

What do you mean "thanks for nothing"? That is a great attitude you have.
