Specs: Windows 7, 1.8/2 GB
Hi I am having a folder of software. Its size is 3.2 GB and it has almost 600 files.
When i tried to burn this in my DVD of 4.7 GB capacity, i got error message that 300 MB space is less .

Why 3.2 GB data is not being recorded in 4.7 GB.
If i zip this folder, will my problem solve.

First of all single layer DVDR don't actually hold 4.7GB. The capacity is slightly different for + or - disks but both are in the 4.4GB range.

If you have lots of folders and sub-folders and long folder names that will take more space.

What kind of files are you working with?
