May 9, 2010 at 06:23:06
Specs: Windows 7
Hi all.

I have had my computer for bout a month now and for that one month everything was fine, But now after it connected back to the internet as it occasionally drops out for ages, it will stay on for 50-60mins maybe more. Then it will shutdown unexpectedly, as it shuts down a cmd window flashes up fror a second then my comp just shuts down.

Any clues?

Can you immediately restart?

What is the message on the screen just prior to the computer shutting off?

Do you hear any audible warnings?

About a month old, I would say back up anything important to you, and take it back for warranty service. This could be software (system fault or infection) or hardware (heat, memory, or power) problem. Maybe do a system restore and an infection scan, but let them go deeper than that.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
