Specs: Windows 7
windows live mail problem,
When I try to forward an email containing pictures I get this dialogue box message.

One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found. when you send this message these pictuers will not be included. Are you sure you want to send this message?

The pictures are fine in the received email.
Sometimes the emails I receive have a red X and red frame instead of the pictures.
Can't find any one to answer this question.

I think this happens when they are not imbeded pictures but links to pictures online. They are not on your computer so it doesn't send them.

As for the X's in received emails, this is usually a problem at the senders end.

You might get a clue for both of these by right clicking the picture you are trying to send or receive and looking at its details in Properties. If it doesn't show a jpg extension then it is unlikely to handle it.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I am sure you are right Derek,
When I look at the pictures i am forwarding, they ar links as you said.
The red xes are probably sent links also.
What I do not under stand is why win live mail can't handle this like outlook express can. I have not had this problem before I built new computer using Win 7 Pro OS.
My old XP Pro with outlook express gave me this problem probably 6 times in 10 years.

✔ Best Answer
#1 is the way I see it but keep watching, someone else might have some ideas.

EDIT:
You could Right click on Windows Live Mail in the programs list and go to "Troubleshoot compatibility". There is a vague chance something there will help.

As for XP, well I kinda regard it as the last MS OS which put productivity to the forefront (but that's a highly controversial remark). Just wait for Win 8 glitz LOL.

Yes Derek,

Thank you much. I have been looking for weeks, this is not the only issue I have with Win 7. I will post some later, also if I find any fixes I will post them.

You are right about the trouble shooter!!! Nothing!!
