Win 7 won't read UDF DVD discs burned in XP

Microsoft Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit

Specs: Windows 7
I burned quiet a few DVD+R when I had Windows XP, and just put word documents, pictures, etc on them. I finalized them all and made them compatible with other computers.
I just installed Windows 7 and they won't read the disks, they read fine when I had windows XP, and I am trying to run it in the same DVD drive it was burned in.

It shows my some files but other folders claim that they are empty, which I know theyre not because they had files in them when I had XP

how can I get Win7 to read UDF disks?
If i bring the disks to a computer with XP will it read them?

Curious, of the three identical question you posted here (this post), at MyDigitalLife, and at Yahoo Answer which answer do you find to be the most helpful?

Your udf on xp came from a cd burning application and may not be supported in W7 would be my guess.

Think there is a linux way to decide what udf version you used. I suspect you can find out what application you used on xp too.

I tried to open them on XP and they all showed up fine...
So i guess how i burned the disks is what caused the problem, like jefro said, so i'll just bring all the cds to an xp computer and burn them correctly or something like that..

XpUser, so far this site was the most useful! haha I'm desperate for my files
