help i have win 7 and i want to know must i turn on update??? or if i turn off what will happen?

You can turn automatic updates on & off in the Control Panel/Windows Update as well as set it to manual only - you can then set the Action Center to ignore update warnings if you want to. As to what will happen it depends on what updates come out - many are to fix security issues in the operating system or to add enhancements so you may be affecting the security and running of Win7. Even with Automatic updates you get the option to choose particular updates not to install and you can also choose to not be advised about them again.

From experience, one of the main reasons people would not want the important updates at least is because they are running a cracked version of the OS and don't want to risk it being crippled by Microsoft, in which case users like that should turn off all updates and carry the risk of security holes not being patched.
