How big is your monitor? Monitor drivers are virtually superfluous in windows (default monitor is normal) - its the graphics card drivers that matter - have you got one installed for yours? (look in device manager - it should not say standard vga)

I don't have a graphic card. Just built in vga which has shared memory and its memory is upto 780 mb. Actually the problem is while playing games or sometimes while using skype the lcd goes off itself and displays no input signal. Someone said that your graphic card is the problem for playing games. But then i borrowed this monitor from my neighbours and used it. And believe me there is no problem while playing NFS underground 2. Now i definitely can say it's not my vga card. Then i went to screen resolution and it just displays these two resolutions. Its 15inch lcd. Please help me out. Please

Did the monitor come with a disk? If so, install the software on it.

If you didn't get a disk with the monitor then download the drivers from the link below. Follow the instructions.

I will never ever forget your favour in life OTHEHILL. Thanks alot. I will be always there if you need any kind of favour from me. Your trick worked for me. I went into advanced settings and i checked the memory of video card. The dedicated memory had increased from 32 to 64mb. In addition to this, i also updated my Direct X to DirectX 11. Thanks alot OTHEHILL.. Three cheers for you
