Win 7 desktop front USB & NIC no longer work

Microsoft Windows 7 home premium oem 64b...

Specs: Windows 7 64 bit, Intel i7
I bought a new desktop with the following configuration:
1) Intel I7 930 Chipset
2) Gigabyte Motherboard GA-X58A-UD3R
3) Genuine Windows 7 64 bit English Home Edition

I have used the Windows 7 for about a month and now I recently encountered the following on the Error Device Manager:
1) Intel(R) ICH10 Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 3A3A
2) Intel(R) ICH10 Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 3A3C

Because of this my front panel USB and my network card is not working. The hardware is fine but I believe it's related to the USB device driver conflict happening on Windows 7. I tried to "Update driver" on the device within Windows 7 but it said that I have the latest driver. Also roll back system recovery to earlier date does not work.

Please advise a solution. Thank you.

try restoring the image you made once your system was perfect?

is your bios set to boot usb legacy devices?
try setting the bios to default.

remove device's from device manager and check remove drivers.
then try to reinstall using updated intel drivers..

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

I bought a new desktop

You should be able to take it back to wherever you bought it and have them fix it or exchange it for a trouble-free unit.

Did you get any restore disks with the machine? If you did, you need to look for chipset drivers. I think you should contact the people you bought it from and talk to them. Messing with a new machine can void the warranty.

Having the exact problem here! Same motherboard with a i7 950. USB 2.0 only supplies power and ethernet port only flashes orange. USB 3.0 still works fine. SATA 2.0 ports seem to be freezing up. Started to happen a month after I built the computer. I've sent my motherboard back 3 days ago thinking there was something wrong with the ICH10R chip. Waiting for the call back...
