First, ensure your router is set to factory defaults. If it's not, reset it and try again. If that doesn't work you'll probably need to spoof your computer's MAC address on the router.

If your ISP registers your MAC, this could be why the router isn't working as it will have a different one from your computer. Some routers even have a setting to spoof (copy) your computer's MAC. If yours does, use it and try connecting it to your internet and see if that doesn't work. If you don't have a setting to automatically spoof your computer's MAC, you'll have to do it manually. To do that, find the setting in the router for spoofing it's external MAC. Open a command prompt window in your PC (ie: Start >> Run >> type cmd and hit Enter) and enter the following command:

ipconfig /all

Once done, look for the following in the ipconfig output:

Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-21-9B-27-22-A2

That's your computer's MAC and the one you'll want to spoof on the router.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.
