Sounds like you put the wrong amount or type of ram in. List the ram you used. Here are the specs for your machine.

✔ Best Answer
If you go to crucial.com and download/run their scanner utility (it's perfectly safe) and let it scan your systemm it will tell you what works there in terms the various possible RAM sticks.

Of course you'll need to put the original RAM back to do this.

The specs say it supports ddr3 1333 sticks. Is this what you got? If you're not running a 64 bit system of Windows. the computer won't be able to use 8 gigs. Try trvir's suggestion.

Not enough info. Is it DDR3-1333 at 1.5v? Are you sure they're fully seated in their slots? Any beeps when you try to boot up?

Does it still work with the old RAM stick(s)?
Try with one 4GB RAM Stick.
