"Yes i put it on the right channel Vga (pc)". And what channel did you set it to?

That TV has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 for a 16:9 ratio. The refresh rate is ONLY 50Hz. Which is lower than the output on your computer. VGA is 60Hz.

Are you sure you have the cable on the correct output port on the computer? How do you know what resolution you have the computer set at if you are not seeing any video?

The display settings only come into play in Windows. If you're not seeing anything on the screen during boot-up (prior to Windows loading), you don't have something configured properly. Did you change the input setting on the TV to the VGA port? Did you change the output setting on the laptop to the VGA port? Are you sure the VGA cable is good?

Please post the make/model of the laptop or desktop.

I asked some questions in #1 above that you didn't answer.

Do you ever see any video, even a message on screen?

Does the TV work as a TV?

Are you located in the USA? As I pointed out, that TV was designed for the European market. See the link below.

Are you tuning to Channel 3 or 4?

As riider suggested above, you may have something set wrong.

No i am not located in the USA im located in Europe West (Portugal) therefore dont speak good english. I never tuned to any channel i just used to change teh source to "PC" which is teh vga port. Im afraid i got some settings wrong, even thoguht i never changed the settings in the first place.

"Do u want specs or the name? desktop hp +asus. laptop=lenovo"

HP, Asus, & Lenovo make 100's of different products. We need specific models & model numbers.

I definitely will not skype. The model/model number is somewhere on the tower or laptop. If it's not visible on the front, it's on a label on the back or underside.

Press the Windows key & R at the same time. Type in

dxdiag

Hit the enter key, when it asks if you want to see the signed drivers hit the enter key again. On the next screen it will show you all sorts of info about your computer including make & model number
