Solved Why have I got 2 (different) Picasa on laptop & desktop?

Specs: Windows 7
I like Picasa 3. Have no problem using it except: I expected to have just ONE Picasa which would be accessible from both machines and showing the same content.
Laptop: Windows 7 and Desktop: Vista. Is it possible to somehow combine and make life so much easier?

Running one programme on one computer from on ther computer on a network is generally not possible.

Even if you could run the programme on another computer, you would still need registry entries on the computer you are using. To get these registry entries usually requires an install.

Picassa does not have the ability to read files over network so even if you did somehow manage to run it remotely, there would still be two sets of contents, one on each computer.

In short, to do what you want the programme has to be written to be used over a local area network. Picassa has no such facilities.

Thank you. Happy with that. Had the feeling it was a big ask. Much appreciated. Hanne.
