Ask is usually a search engine, possibly it's a tool bar that got downloaded.

Quick removal option might be

See what it finds and remove anything you didn't install(or seems strange). Please post back what came up.

Is another easy source for quick removal of chrome. From there a reinstall should be easy.

More than likely you downloaded & installed something & didn't pay attention to what was on the screen. Java for instance: Click HERE for example

Most likely JRT will find it and remove it (first link #1). If not this should:
(blue download button near top).
You download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run the Scan. You then have options to remove whatever it shows under each heading in the table below, although it is usually safe to run the Clean.

With luck you will not need to re-install Chrome.

[I assume you had already looked in "Control Panel > Programs and Features"]

If this solves the problem keep any eye on how your computer performs in case you have collected anything else. Come back if you have any concerns.

This is now the third NEW post you have raised about this. You should continue at the bottom as if you were replying. This means we are probably wasting our time because at least two are likely to be zapped.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
