why does windows 7 put a comma after an email

Specs: Windows 7
Every time I compose an email, a comma is placed after the email address. Why is that?

You don't mention which email program you are using but I would suspect that the program automatically puts a divider, (in this case a comma, more usually it's a semi colon) so you can add further recipients without having to put the commas between them yourself.
