why does the pc ask for the booting password

June 23, 2011 at 09:02:30
Specs: Windows 7, 2 Gb Ram
I use windows 7 ultimate and the only one account i'm currently running is the admin. Whenever i boot, the system asks for the password more than once, i.e; 3-5 times. At first, i thought it was a virus and i re-installed windows, and now after only two days of re-installing, the same problem is repeating. Please give me a brief description of what's wrong with My system ..

It should never do that. It may be that you still have some rootkit or virus. My be on your lan or on flash drives or what.

Never use admin to run. Always make a standard or limited user account and use it. When needed use the run as on right click.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

download sophos, root kit detector.
what are the passwords requested, bios, hard drive, windows???
create a second account, see if that has the same issues.
create a new partition and make a second install of windows. see if that has the same issues.
