When you start your computer tap the F8 key until you get to the boot options. Now select Disable automatic reboot on failure. You should now get a stop code. I suspect that it is a 0x7B if that is the case, reboot your computer and tap F2 to go into the BIOS. In the bios you will want to change the SATA mode from IDE to AHCI. If it is not a Stop 0x7B let us know what it is.

If you can get it to boot up in Safe Mode (tap F8 immediately after powering it on then select Safe Mode from the menu) it will be possible to do System Restore by typing it in Start. This is a Windows feature and does not lose your own stuff.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
