September 23, 2016 at 01:31:28
Specs: Windows 7
Need help. I switched the pc at my work from domain to workgroup. I can't login as administrator anymore. I've tried all the password but still could not login. Is there any solution to this? Cause I really need to change it back to domain. Thank you.

Talk to whoever is responsible for the network. (Your boss?)

Only a domain admin can join or rejoin a computer to a domain.

I think the real lesson here is to be as accurate as possible when describing your issue. For example, you can't log in to what? The laptop? The domain? Your Gmail account?

The real trick here is to make sure you've made a local admin account before playing domain games with machines.

Call your IT person and ask him/her to join the system to the Domain. And, don't mess with it again. :)

You'll just have to be patient. For obvious reasons, Windows only allows an authorised person to join a computer to a domain.

Also, when you removed the client from the Domain, you would have gotten a reminder that once the system was removed, you would need a local account in order to login.

After removing your PC from the domain, you might now need to log on to your computer with DSRM or local administrator password. If you've forgotten the DSRM or local password, please refer to this tutorial.
