Solved why can't I respond to emails in MS outlook?

August 15, 2011 at 21:07:47
Specs: Windows 7
Since my version of outlook changed from trial period of 'professional version' to standard version that was on new laptop, I have been unable to reply to any emails. How do I change settings to allow me to 'reply' or 'forward' please?

What exactly happens when you try to reply or forward? - any error message will give a clue as to what is causing the problem.

✔ Best Answer
talk to your ISP tech support and they will walk you through it. I would presume you use outlook because of them being your ISP

Thanks John R, I don't get an error message. I can't forward or reply because those options are ' greyed out' as opposed to black so I can't even click on them. I'm sorry I don't know the correct terminology - hope you understand

I contacted Microsoft and it turns out that my version of Student Home Office doesn't include 'Outlook'. They only provide a trial version in the hope that you'll purchase it once the trial has finished. Thanks for your responses.
