If you can't run or use your system restore, than you will need to repair
or correct your computer problem.
System Restore can fail and I never count on it as my backup.
Start - Control Panel - Backup and Restore - New Page -
Click - Backup now.
This needs a place to put the Backup. I use an External Hard Drive.
What is your computer problem that you needed to run System Restore?

My crystal ball is giving me a clue here: "...also run same program as others did(windows media center, in my case..." It sounds like a file association fix issue. Look at this post, if it sounds familiar, look at the fix there:

EWEN
People usually run System Restore to fix a problem.
If a backup has been made it will also fix a problem
that has happened since the backup was made.

cboy:
Unless someone has a major problem and looses critical data, they rarely actually take backing up seriously. They either do not do it at all or do not think about setting it to automatic and connecting a second or external drive. Some learn the hard way. Some take advice.

cboy you are correct but the OP does not mention having made a back-up.
