Solved Why are there so many folders in C:\Users directory?

March 31, 2015 at 13:13:31
Specs: Windows 7
Administrator
ASPNET
Me
Guest
HomeGroupUser$
Public
I was wondering what these files might be, considering that, Administrator, ASPNET, and HomeGroupUser$ all have the same files in them.

Actually they are folders, but In a nutshell:

Administrator is for extra rights.
ASPNET - I haven't got that, looks like it's related to web development.
Guest is for an additional user who has access to their own files and programs only.
HomeGroupUser$ is to share files with other computers on your network.
Public is an account that all users have access to.

Other than your "named" account, which is probably what you are using, most of the rest don't usually contain a huge amount. Leave them all place in case you ever need those MS options. Removing Administrator would likely screw things up, as could some of the rest.

For a full explanation Google each one of them.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
