Hello, as of late I get a white screen on my Alienware m14x laptop everytime I boot it up from hibernation, sleep, restart etc. It will eventually go to a normal screen after 2 or 3 restarts. Any ideas wht it could be? My Nividia card has it drivers up to date and it runs my games great, when it runs! Could my card be going bad or is there a conflict between Nividia and windows?

Have you tried booting the computer in Safe Mode? Press F8 after the BIOS screeen.

Your graphics card somehow may be overheating, check the temps on it by using third-party software called speccy or GPU temp.

Tell me what the temps are and get back to me.

Hi keithb,

My name is Rohit and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell.
I regret to hear that you are facing an issue with your dell system. As per your question there is no such non issue with Nvidia card and Windows but you can try updating the video drivers by going to this link http://dell.to/sCpz1d and also try updating the BIOS as well from the same link. Please update us if you face further issues.

Please reply back with the results.

Glad to assist you!

Thanks and regards
