Years ago I had Partition Magic version 7 I believe it was. Any experience with the free versions and which would you recommend? TIA srloren
EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition - google it.
Thanks Jolicloud, I understand how to use the partition software within Windows7, but there are others that allow more options. For instance, I have a hard drive that has a dynamic partition on it and I cannot delete it in Windows7, as I recall. I could be wrong but some partition software will allow me to utilize this hard drive and like I said has other options that Win7 Disk Management Tool does not have. srloren

Windows 7 Disk Manager may not be able to convert Dynamic partitions directly, but as far as I know it can delete the partition and allow you to create another partition in its place of what ever type you want. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
I just downloaded it...works like a charm. Cost was around 31 dollars. It has a windows boot to EASEUS Partition Master creator that works fine too. Thanks for the tip. srloren
Too late for the OP, but Paragon Partition Manager free edition is excellent (and the price is right).
"I just downloaded it...works like a charm. Cost was around 31 dollars" Huh? EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition is 100% free. If you paid $31, you either got ripped off or you didn't get the Home Edition. Did you get it from the EASEUS website?
http://www.partitionwizard.com/free... A thank you would be nice, if I have helped.
Riider, it appears that I paid for it when I could have had it for free. There is some misleading advertising on the site. It said that with the free version the Windows Boot to Partition Master was not included. However I see that it is available as a free download.... $30 down the drain... I will look into it to see if I can get a refund. Purchased with a safe Credit Card...we'll see. You seem to gleem at pointing out my ignorance and inexperience. Ha ha srloren
Its the same with AVG, difficult to find the free version. Also, free download, doesn't mean freeware.
A thank you would be nice, if I have helped.
