Specs: Windows 7, 75550 @ 1.83GHz
pls. help! I can't play a DVD UDF file format that was given to me and my wife on a fitness workshop. My windows Player won't allow me to play it because it keeps telling me that I have no access to play it. I have a FLV player, a KMP player, Nero showtime, real player and final video player, but none of these applications or software seems to be able to pick it up. I have ultimate Windows 7 on my laptop. My laptop is ASUS, Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU 75550 @1.83 GHz,
3.00 GB, 32-bit Operating System using Windows 7 Utimate

You would start with asking the person who gave you the dvd what UDF software was used to burn the dvd.

Then you go to the software's web site.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.

UDF is a way to put files on a dvd. It has nothing to do with an application to read the disk.

Windows 7 does support the latest version of Microsoft's UDF but as stated above you may need a third party's plug in to access it.

Ask them to close out the disk may help or just reburn in a standard format.

In all of this it could be that infact your are wrong about the issue. And that VLC could be able to read the file format if you can read the disk.
